In 2019 Lebanon public debt was 81,853 million euros91,634 million dollars, has increased 9,7936,531 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 174.32% of Lebanon GDP, a 19.41 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 154.91% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lebanon debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 36,714 million euros 51,209 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 144.5%.
According to the last data point published, Lebanon per capita debt in 2019 was 11,939 euros13,366 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 10,521 euros 12,426 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,418 euros940 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 7,628 euros10,640 dollars .
The position of Lebanon, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 185 in the list of debt to GDP and 154 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
