In April, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom fell by 8.03% with respect to April of 1999. In total, 191,065 cars were registered and 2,503,103 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 2.52% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of April is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 22,865, 7.4% less than in April of 1999.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 168,200, which represents a figure of 8.11% less than in April of 1999.
