The latest survey data indicate believers share of India population, has dropped to 98.72%. As to Hindu it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 74.52% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 74.22% follow it.
The India’s second-largest religion is Islam, accounts for about 12% of the population.
