The latest survey data indicate believers share of India population, has remained to 99.69%. As to Hindu it has increased, the previous survey recorded 80.2% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 80.45% follow it.
Islam is the second most practiced religion in India, accounts for about 13.4% of the population.
