The annual variation rate of the CPI in Portugal in January of 2023 was 8.4%, 12 tenths less than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been -0.9%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2023 is -0.9%

We must highlight the increase of 2% in the prices of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, until its interannual rate reached 3.9%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of -13.4%, and an interannual variation of 1.8%.
