In September, vehicle registrations in Australia grew by 3.42% with respect to September of 2003. In total, 80,452 cars were registered and 943,370 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 6.17% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of September is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 30,541, 17.28% more than in September of 2003.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 49,911, which represents a figure of 3.55% less than in September of 2003.
