Public debt went up in Sweden

In 2020 Sweden public debt was 201,713 million euros214,578 million dollars, has increased 29,73428,284 million since 2019.

This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 40.2% of Sweden GDP, a 4.6 percentage point rise from 2019, when it was 35.6% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Sweden debt. It has risen since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 151,873 million euros 188,734 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 38.1%.

According to the last data point published, Sweden per capita debt in 2020 was 19,434 euros20,674 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 16,652 euros 18,038 dollars, afterwards rising by 2,782 euros2,636 dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 16,130 euros20,045 dollars .
