In 2015 Switzerland public debt was 267,083 million euros 296,328 million dollars, has increased 33,78113,613 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 43.64% of Switzerland GDP, a 0.07 percentage point fall from 2014, when it was 43.71% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Switzerland debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 186,504 million euros 232,029 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 56.84%.
According to the last data point published, Switzerland per capita debt in 2015 was 32,074 euros35,586 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 28,321 euros 37,625 dollars, afterwards rising by 3,753 euros2,039 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 25,003 euros31,107 dollars .
The position of Switzerland, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 83 in the list of debt to GDP and 175 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
