Public debt went up in Switzerland

In 2019 Switzerland public debt was 260,391 million euros291,497 million dollars, has increased 15,7382,705 million since 2018.

This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 39.8% of Switzerland GDP, a 0.56 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 39.24% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Switzerland debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 171,746 million euros 238,670 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 42.77%.

According to the last data point published, Switzerland per capita debt in 2019 was 30,257 euros33,871 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 28,633 euros 33,798 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,624 euros73 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 22,059 euros30,655 dollars .
