Debt decreased in Sweden

In 2021 Sweden public debt was 196,376 million euros232,686 million dollars, has decreased 5,33718,108 million since 2020.

This amount means that the debt in 2021 reached 36.7% of Sweden GDP, a 3.5 percentage point fall from 2020, when it was 40.2% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Sweden debt. It has risen since 2011 in global debt terms, when it was 155,456 million euros 213,271 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 37.2%.

According to the last data point published, Sweden per capita debt in 2021 was 18,788 euros22,262 dollars per inhabitant. In 2020 it was 19,434 euros 20,674 dollars, afterwards dropping by 646 euros 1,588dollars, and if we again check 2011 we can see that then the debt per person was 16,393 euros22,490 dollars .
