National debt fell in Sweden

In 2023 Sweden public debt was 177,173 million euros191,577 million dollars, has decreased 8374,133 million since 2022.

This amount means that the debt in 2023 reached 31.2% of Sweden GDP, a 2 percentage point fall from 2022, when it was 33.2% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Sweden debt. It has risen since 2013 in global debt terms, when it was 173,692 million euros 235,681 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 40.3%.

According to the last data point published, Sweden per capita debt in 2023 was 16,839 euros18,208 dollars per inhabitant. In 2022 it was 16,919 euros 17,815 dollars, afterwards dropping by 80 euros 393dollars, and if we again check 2013 we can see that then the debt per person was 18,009 euros24,436 dollars .
