May of 2014 CPI went up in Chile

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Chile in May of 2014 was 5.4%, 4 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.3%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2014 is 2.5%

We must highlight the increase of 1.3% in the prices of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, until its interannual rate reached 9.7%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of -0.6%, and an interannual variation of -4.6%.
