InSri Lanka decreases believers but Buddhism remained

Buddhism is the Sri Lanka's top religion, around 65% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.67%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Sri Lanka population, has dropped to 99.67%. As to Buddhism has not change, the previous survey recorded 65% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 65% follow it.

Hindu is the second most practiced religion in Sri Lanka, accounts for about 18% of the population.
