Austria national debt goes up

In 2021 Austria public debt was 334,284 million euros395,707 million dollars, has increased 18,34535,063 million since 2020.

This amount means that the debt in 2021 reached 82.5% of Austria GDP, a 0.4 percentage point fall from 2020, when it was 82.9% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Austria debt. It has risen since 2011 in global debt terms, when it was 255,684 million euros 354,688 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 82.4%.

According to the last data point published, Austria per capita debt in 2021 was 37,230 euros44,071 dollars per inhabitant. In 2020 it was 35,369 euros 40,374 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,861 euros3,697 dollars, and if we again check 2011 we can see that then the debt per person was 30,409 euros42,184 dollars .
