Austria has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 1,651 recorded suicide cases in 1965, 1,084 were men suicides and 567 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 31.8 per 100,000 men and for women 14.7 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
