Of the 1,685 recorded suicide cases in 1965, 1,075 were men suicides and 610 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 18.8 per 100,000 men and for women 10.8 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
