Japan, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 18,015 recorded suicide cases in 1972, 10,231 were men suicides and 7,784 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 19.4 per 100,000 men and for women 14.2 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
