Japan, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 14,844 recorded suicide cases in 1969, 8,241 were men suicides and 6,603 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 16.2 per 100,000 men and for women 12.5 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
