In 1970 occurred 52 suicides in Ireland, the same people committed suicide than in 1969.

Of the 52 recorded suicide cases in 1970, 44 were men suicides and 8 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 3 per 100,000 men and for women 0.5 per 100,000 female.
