Ireland has a low suicide rate

In 1969 around 52 suicides occurred in Ireland, 19 less than in 1968.

Ireland reported 1.8 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 11.58 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Ireland has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 52 recorded suicide cases in 1969, 38 were men suicides and 14 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 2.6 per 100,000 men and for women 1 per 100,000 female.
