Suicides fell in Denmark

By 2013, suicides in Denmark increased by 44 people to at 615 suicides In Denmark, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

In Denmark there were 10.95 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.78 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 615 recorded suicide cases in 2013, 455 were men suicides and 160 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 16.26 per 100,000 men and for women 5.69 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Denmark suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 48 homicides in Denmark, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 12.8 suicides.
