In August, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom fell by 4.65% with respect to August of 2005. In total, 97,396 cars were registered and 2,761,643 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 3.79% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of August is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 19,435, 1.87% more than in August of 2005.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 77,961, which represents a figure of 6.15% less than in August of 2005.
