In July, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 13.27% with respect to July of 1970. In total, 74,154 cars were registered and 844,284 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.36% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of July is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 12,949, 8.14% more than in July of 1970.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 61,205, which represents a figure of 14.42% more than in July of 1970.

As can be seen, the number of registrations per thousand residents has grown in the last year. The increase in this figure is positive, as it generally indicates improved public confidence in the country's economy.
