In November, vehicle registrations in Canada fell by 25.28% with respect to November of 1969. In total, 57,240 cars were registered and 789,315 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 14.68% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of November is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 9,594, 20.94% less than in November of 1969.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 47,646, which represents a figure of 26.1% less than in November of 1969.

As can be seen, the number of registrations per thousand residents has fallen in the last year. A drop in registrations generally indicates a fall in consumer confidence and, when it is sustained, a recession in the real economy.
