In 2021 Montenegro public debt was 4,243 million euros5,022 million dollars, has decreased 250105 million since 2020.
This amount means that the debt in 2021 reached 85.63% of Montenegro GDP, a 21.72 percentage point fall from 2020, when it was 107.35% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Montenegro debt. It has risen since 2011 in global debt terms, when it was 1,586 million euros 2,207 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 48.57%.
According to the last data point published, Montenegro per capita debt in 2021 was 6,869 euros8,131 dollars per inhabitant. In 2020 it was 7,238 euros 8,260 dollars, afterwards dropping by 369 euros 129dollars, and if we again check 2011 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,557 euros3,558 dollars .
