In 2018 Morocco public debt was 65,169 million euros 76,964 million dollars, has increased 1,9165,507 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 64.96% of Morocco GDP, a 0.15 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 65.11% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Morocco debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 28,586 million euros 42,044 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 45.44%.
According to the last data point published, Morocco per capita debt in 2018 was 1,850 euros2,185 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 1,815 euros 2,050 dollars, afterwards rising by 35 euros135 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 911 euros1,339 dollars .
The position of Morocco, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 136 in the list of debt to GDP and 88 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
