In 2017 Morocco public debt was 63,260 million euros 71,465 million dollars, has increased 2,6894,419 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 65.11% of Morocco GDP, a 0.25 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 64.86% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Morocco debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 29,373 million euros 40,256 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 50.94%.
According to the last data point published, Morocco per capita debt in 2017 was 1,778 euros2,009 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,756 euros 1,944 dollars, afterwards rising by 22 euros65 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 948 euros1,299 dollars .
The position of Morocco, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 131 in the list of debt to GDP and 84 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
