In 2016 Morocco public debt was 60,571 million euros 67,046 million dollars, has increased 2,4982,614 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 64.7% of Morocco GDP, a 1.02 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 63.68% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Morocco debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 31,041 million euros 38,975 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 56.78%.
According to the last data point published, Morocco per capita debt in 2016 was 1,756 euros1,944 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 1,702 euros 1,888 dollars, afterwards rising by 54 euros56 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,014 euros1,273 dollars .
The position of Morocco, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 128 in the list of debt to GDP and 85 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
