In 2017 Kazakhstan public debt was 29,353 million euros 33,160 million dollars, has increased 4,9416,138 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 20.35% of Kazakhstan GDP, a 0.67 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 19.68% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Kazakhstan debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 4,493 million euros 6,158 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 5.87%.
According to the last data point published, Kazakhstan per capita debt in 2017 was 1,627 euros1,838 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,372 euros 1,519 dollars, afterwards rising by 255 euros319 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 289 euros395 dollars .
The position of Kazakhstan, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 13 in the list of debt to GDP and 80 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
