In 2018 Jordan public debt was 33,794 million euros 39,911 million dollars, has decreased 264 1,435 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 94.41% of Jordan GDP, a 0.06 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 94.35% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jordan debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 8,997 million euros 13,233 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 60.24%.
According to the last data point published, Jordan per capita debt in 2018 was 3,394 euros4,009 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 3,483 euros 3,934 dollars, afterwards dropping by 89 euros 75dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,386 euros2,039 dollars .
The position of Jordan, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 167 in the list of debt to GDP and 111 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
