In 2021 Jordan public debt was 35,173 million euros41,628 million dollars, has increased 1,4493,139 million since 2020.
This amount means that the debt in 2021 reached 90.87% of Jordan GDP, a 3.88 percentage point rise from 2020, when it was 86.99% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jordan debt. It has risen since 2011 in global debt terms, when it was 13,168 million euros 18,325 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 62.07%.
According to the last data point published, Jordan per capita debt in 2021 was 3,425 euros4,054 dollars per inhabitant. In 2020 it was 3,305 euros 3,772 dollars, afterwards rising by 120 euros282 dollars, and if we again check 2011 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,718 euros2,391 dollars .
The position of Jordan, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2021 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 159 in the list of debt to GDP and 105 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
