This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 78.02% of Jordan GDP, a 2.96 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 75.06% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jordan debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 10,235 million euros 14,276 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 57.97%.
According to the last data point published, Jordan per capita debt in 2019 was 3,075 euros3,442 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 2,760 euros 3,260 dollars, afterwards rising by 315 euros182 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,501 euros2,093 dollars .
The position of Jordan, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 138 in the list of debt to GDP and 105 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
