In 2016 Jordan public debt was 33,257 million euros 36,812 million dollars, has increased 1,6361,728 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 95.07% of Jordan GDP, a 1.68 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 93.39% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Jordan debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 9,154 million euros 11,494 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 76.33%.
According to the last data point published, Jordan per capita debt in 2016 was 3,517 euros3,893 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 3,452 euros 3,831 dollars, afterwards rising by 65 euros62 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,543 euros1,937 dollars .
The position of Jordan, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 164 in the list of debt to GDP and 114 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
