In 2009 Cyprus public debt was 10,139 million euros13,744 million dollars, has increased 1,4801,409 million since 2008.
This amount means that the debt in 2009 reached 54.3% of Cyprus GDP, a 8.8 percentage point rise from 2008, when it was 45.5% of GDP.
