In 2017 Croatia public debt was 38,080 million euros 42,327 million dollars, has decreased 159 262 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 78% of Croatia GDP, a 4.9 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 82.9% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Croatia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 16,595 million euros 19,552 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 37.7%.
According to the last data point published, Croatia per capita debt in 2016 was 9,205 euros10,189 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 9,047 euros 10,038 dollars, afterwards rising by 158 euros151 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,610 euros4,533 dollars .
The position of Croatia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 146 in the list of debt to GDP and 146 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
