In 2008 Cyprus public debt was 8,659 million euros12,335 million dollars, has decreased 803464 million since 2007.
This amount means that the debt in 2008 reached 45.5% of Cyprus GDP, a 8.5 percentage point fall from 2007, when it was 54% of GDP.
