In 2021, CO2 emissions in Grenada have fallen 0.004 megatons, 3.28% compared to 2020.
CO2 emissions in 2021 were 0.118 megatons, making Grenada is in the group of low-polluting countries, mainly due to its small population, within the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Grenada, have decreased in 2021, in which they have been 1.08 tons per inhabitant.
Regarding evolution f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Grenada, has emitted 0.07 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, the same as in 2020.
In the table we can see the evolution of CO2 emissions, which have grown since 2011, as have per capita emissions and as well as CO2 emissions per $ 1,000 of GDP.
However, in the last five years, total emissions have decreased in Grenada, as have emissions per capita, then the situation is improving.
