The Ibex 35 is the main reference index of the Spanish stock market and its name comes from Índice Bursátil Español (Spanish Stock Market Index). The Ibex is composed of the 35 most liquid companies and is weighted according to the capitalization of each of them, so that the higher the capitalization the more weight they have in the index.
