In 2013 occurred 3,756 suicides in Pakistan. This year, 56 more people committed suicide than in 2012. In 2013, on average 10 Pakistanis committed suicide every day.

Pakistan had 1.99 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.78 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Pakistan has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 3,756 recorded suicide cases in 2013, 1,960 were men suicides and 1,795 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 1.86 per 100,000 men and for women 1.8 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Pakistan. However, in Pakistan in 2013 there were there were 13,937 homicides, many more than suicides. There were 3.7 homicides per suicide.
