Number of suicides unchanged in Montenegro

In 2014 occurred 69 suicides in Montenegro, the same people committed suicide than in 2013.

Montenegro had 11.05 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.71 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 69 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 46 were men suicides and 23 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.98 per 100,000 men and for women 7.22 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Montenegro suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 20 homicides in Montenegro, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 3.5 suicides.
