Suicides remained unchanged in Montenegro

In 2015 around 69 suicides occurred in Montenegro, as occurred in 2014.

Montenegro reported 11.07 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.51 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 69 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 46 were men suicides and 23 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 15.03 per 100,000 men and for women 7.19 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Montenegro suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 17 homicides in Montenegro, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 4.1 suicides.
