Suicides fell in Israel

By 2002, suicides in Israel increased by 18 people to at 380 suicides In Israel, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

In Israel there were 5.8 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.78 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 380 recorded suicide cases in 2002, 291 were men suicides and 89 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9 per 100,000 men and for women 2.7 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Israel suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 208 homicides in Israel, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.8 suicides.
