Denmark has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 1,189 recorded suicide cases in 1972, 745 were men suicides and 444 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 30.1 per 100,000 men and for women 17.7 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
