Republic of the Congo - Intentional self-harm

In 2004 occurred 485 suicides in Republic of the Congo. This year, 12 more people committed suicide than in 2003. In Republic of the Congo, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

Republic of the Congo had 15.38 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10.53 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 485 recorded suicide cases in 2004, 360 were men suicides and 125 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 20.48 per 100,000 men and for women 7 per 100,000 female.
