August of 2022 CPI went up in Uganda

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Uganda in August of 2022 was 9%, 11 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2022 is 7.5%

We must highlight the increase of 1.8% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 15.7%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Furniture, household equipment and maintenance of -0.2%, and an interannual variation of 16.2%.
