Ugandans CPI increased up to 3.2% year-on-year in January of 2026

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Uganda in January of 2026 was 3.2%, 1 tenth higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.3%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2026 is 0.3%

We must highlight the increase of 0.4% in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, until its interannual rate reached 3.1%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Recreation and culture of -0.4%, and an interannual variation of 2.1%.
