In May, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 24.46% with respect to May of 1971. In total, 127,332 cars were registered and 1,002,081 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 21.71% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of May is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 23,849, 36.9% more than in May of 1971.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 103,483, which represents a figure of 21.91% more than in May of 1971.
