In September, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 37.77% with respect to September of 1963. In total, 45,272 cars were registered and 739,772 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 18.8% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of September is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 6,940, 2.98% more than in September of 1963.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 38,332, which represents a figure of 46.75% more than in September of 1963.
