In January, vehicle registrations in Canada fell by 7.62% with respect to January of 1954. In total, 21,386 cars were registered and 380,864 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 16.38% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of January is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 3,576, 22.65% less than in January of 1954.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 17,810, which represents a figure of 3.87% less than in January of 1954.
