In 2021 Taiwan public debt was 185,635 million euros219,703 million dollars, has decreased 5,5201,542 million since 2020.
This amount means that the debt in 2021 reached 28.36% of Taiwan GDP, a 4.24 percentage point fall from 2020, when it was 32.6% of GDP.

In 2020 it was 8,113 euros 9,259 dollars, afterwards dropping by 171 euros 140dollars, and if we again check 2011 we can see that then the debt per person was 5,741 euros7,990 dollars .
The position of Taiwan, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2021 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 23 in the list of debt to GDP and 141 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
