The national debt increased in Norway

In 2017 Norway public debt was 136,303 million euros153,925 million dollars, has increased 9,23013,306 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 38.64% of Norway GDP, a 0.51 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 38.13% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Norway debt. It has gone down since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 147,084 million euros 199,370 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 51.5%.

According to the last data point published, Norway per capita debt in 2017 was 25,739 euros29,066 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 24,166 euros 26,742 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,573 euros2,324 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 31,049 euros42,086 dollars .

The position of Norway, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 62 in the list of debt to GDP and 176 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
