In 2018 Oman public debt was 35,808 million euros 42,289 million dollars, has increased 6,7909,507 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 53.37% of Oman GDP, a 6.95 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 46.42% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Oman debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 1,951 million euros 2,869 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 4.71%.
According to the last data point published, Oman per capita debt in 2018 was 8,569 euros10,119 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 7,006 euros 7,915 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,563 euros2,204 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 700 euros1,030 dollars .
The position of Oman, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 103 in the list of debt to GDP and 146 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
