In 2018 Mali public debt was 5,220 million euros6,165 million dollars, has increased 395714 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 36.11% of Mali GDP, a 0.63 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 35.48% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Mali debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 1,349 million euros 1,984 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 20.17%.
According to the last data point published, Mali per capita debt in 2018 was 274 euros323 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 269 euros 303 dollars, afterwards rising by 5 euros20 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 99 euros145 dollars .
The position of Mali, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 39 in the list of debt to GDP and 14 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
