In 2022 Lithuania public debt was 25,672 million euros26,831 million dollars, has increased 1,1362,442 million since 2021.
This amount means that the debt in 2022 reached 38.1% of Lithuania GDP, a 5.3 percentage point fall from 2021, when it was 43.4% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lithuania debt. It has risen since 2012 in global debt terms, when it was 13,264 million euros 17,052 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 39.7%.
According to the last data point published, Lithuania per capita debt in 2022 was 8,985 euros9,390 dollars per inhabitant. In 2021 it was 8,744 euros 10,432 dollars, afterwards rising by 241 euros1,042 dollars, and if we again check 2012 we can see that then the debt per person was 4,463 euros5,738 dollars .
The position of Lithuania, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2022 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 41 in the list of debt to GDP and 139 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
