In 2017 Luxembourg public debt was 12,709 million euros 14,358 million dollars, has increased 1,6852,156 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 23% of Luxembourg GDP, a 2.2 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 20.8% of GDP.

According to the last data point published, Luxembourg per capita debt in 2017 was 21,517 euros24,308 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 18,663 euros 20,658 dollars, afterwards rising by 2,854 euros3,650 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 5,927 euros8,123 dollars .
The position of Luxembourg, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 20 in the list of debt to GDP and 165 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
