In 2018 Lithuania public debt was 15,417 million euros 18,207 million dollars, has decreased 1,197 562 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 34.2% of Lithuania GDP, a 5.2 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 39.4% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lithuania debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 4,762 million euros 7,004 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 14.6%.
According to the last data point published, Lithuania per capita debt in 2018 was 5,536 euros6,538 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 5,915 euros 6,682 dollars, afterwards dropping by 379 euros 144dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,496 euros2,200 dollars .
The position of Lithuania, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 45 in the list of debt to GDP and 132 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
