In 2017 Lithuania public debt was 16,632 million euros 18,789 million dollars, has increased 1,1181,617 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 39.7% of Lithuania GDP, a 0.4 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 40.1% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lithuania debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 4,610 million euros 6,318 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 15.9%.
According to the last data point published, Lithuania per capita debt in 2017 was 5,840 euros6,597 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 5,447 euros 6,030 dollars, afterwards rising by 393 euros567 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,435 euros1,967 dollars .
The position of Lithuania, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 64 in the list of debt to GDP and 135 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
